Join members from the NERSC Board of Directors for a panel discussion on how their management companies and resident services departments have responded to the COVID-19 pandemic and adapted in the ever-changing landscape. Hear about how their resident programs and communication have grown, changed, and developed over the last few months. Panelists will explore potential ideas and solutions on how we can best transition and prepare for the future.
1. Learn about what other organizations have done to manage the Covid-19 outbreak successfully.
2. Learn about tools and resources available to stay connected through programming and communication.
3. Learn ways to prepare for the new way of life and for a second outbreak wave.

TAKING THIS COURSE
This course consists of 1 lessons and a final exam.
Lesson 1: Staying Connected: Planning for the Future of Resident Services
The lessons consist of video and optional supplemental materials. For the final exam, participants can take a maximum of 3 attempts to achieve a passing score of 80% or higher. Participants who achieve a passing score can print out a course certificate of completion. Participants who do not pass the final exam after 3 attempts will need to re-pay for and repeat the entire course to attempt to earn credit.

She oversees resident services for a portfolio of ten properties, servicing families, elderly, disabled, homeless, and chronic mentally ill residents. She has over eighteen years of professional experience within the housing industry managing and strategically planning private and non-profit multi-faceted projects in the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of case management, social, recreational, educational, health, resident empowerment, neighborhood revitalization and supportive service initiatives. She has successfully designed multi-faceted supportive service programs, policies and procedures, public relations campaigns, funding acquisition and quality assurance programs. At Konover Residential Corporation, Resident Service Coordinators play a vital role on the management team and in the community by assisting residents in preserving residency, achieving and maintaining self-sufficiency, life satisfaction and well being. Kim holds a B.A. in Psychology from Albertus Magnus College an M.S. in Counseling and Community Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University.

Jannel Satterwhite-Williamson Corporate Community Relations Manager Hallkeen Management Jannel has been with Hallkeen for more than 15 years and an industry professional for two decades. As Corporate Community relations Manager, Jannel is responsible for the oversight of the Hallkeen Resident Services Department, which includes twenty Service Coordinators. She has developed and implemented training guidelines, policy, procedures and best practices; as well as orientation and onboarding curriculum for managers and Service Coordinators. Jannel is responsible for researching and applying for large grants. Jannel's passion for people is reflected in the investment she makes in her team and the impact on the communities that she serves. Jannel started on the Conference Planning Committee in 2017 and joined the board of directors in July 2019.

Thomas A. Stokes Vice President, Community Engagement Beacon Communities, LLC Thomas is the Vice President for Community Engagement at Beacon Communities. He holds a Master’s Degree in City Planning from M.I.T. and a Bachelors degree in Urban Studies from the College of the Holy Cross.He has seventeen years of Program Development experience for comprehensive neighborhood planning. He has another ten years of experience in recruitment, administration and advising in Higher Education. He is responsible for overseeing the Resident Services/ Activities staff and programs at 12 Beacon Communities throughout the Northeast. Tom served as President of NERSC, Inc. from June 2010-2014.
